Staircase & Kitchen Refresh
Project Overview
V21 Construction refreshed a home’s main staircase and adjoining kitchen. The stairs received a darker wood-look finish that stands out against white risers and side trim. In the kitchen, the cabinet faces changed from a warm wood tone to a light cream finish while the dark counters, sink window, and appliance layout remained in place.
Analysis
The starting footage shows the original raised-panel wood cabinets and the staircase before its finished surfaces were in place. The kitchen’s corner layout, built-in range hood, and tall cabinet beside the refrigerator are easy to follow through the before and after views.
Process
The stair photos show the original tread surfaces exposed, with new riser faces fitted at the lower steps. Protective paper and blue tape cover the landings during the work. The kitchen walkthrough records the original cabinet finish, and the later photo shows the light finish across the upper cabinets, lower cabinets, hood surround, and tall storage beside the refrigerator.
Outcome
The finished stair has a consistent dark surface from step to step, with the white risers making each tread edge distinct. The lighter cabinet fronts brighten the kitchen around the same sink, range, refrigerator, and counters. Together, the changes give two connected areas of the home a cleaner finish while retaining the familiar kitchen layout.
