Full Interior Renovation

Project Overview

V21 Construction completed a full gut-to-finish interior renovation transforming a dated Bronx residence into a bright, modern, open-concept home. Scope included demolition, selective reframing, complete MEP upgrades, engineered wood flooring, new kitchen, recessed LED lighting, millwork, and final paint in a cohesive neutral palette.

Analysis

Pre-construction conditions showed aging framing, outdated wiring, and insufficient insulation. We re-framed key partitions to improve flow, upgraded service circuits and branch runs, rerouted plumbing, and optimized lighting layout for even illumination. The design intent emphasized clean geometry, continuous flooring, durable low-maintenance finishes, and code-compliant electrical and plumbing.

Process

- Demolition and Protection - Rough-in: framing alignment, electrical circuits, plumbing runs, insulation - Wall Systems: drywall hang, tape, finish, prime - Floors: layout, install, sand, satin poly finish - Kitchen: cabinets, appliance set, quartz tops, hex backsplash - Finishes: interior doors, matte-black hardware, base/casing, paint - Feature Wall: vertical slat wood with concealed AV chase - Final: trim details, hardware alignment, clean, homeowner walkthrough

Outcome

The finished interior delivers understated luxury with warm oak, crisp whites, and balanced lighting. Circulation is cleaner, storage is optimized, and energy-efficient LEDs reduce operating costs. Craftsmanship details (gaps, miters, reveals) meet V21 standards and increase property value.
